Join a festival wide puzzle game where you have to find all the hidden rune signs around the festival. Use these runes to solve the puzzle and get rewarded for your wit and perception skills! Get the Rune Quest card and your reward at the children’s building, which you can find via Our Map!
Some booths around the festival will have “Raid Me” signs! Show off your Viking side by politely asking to raid a booth with this sign, and get a free trinket for your battle bravery!
We’ll have many shows that are fun for the whole family! Any shows not for the mature will be explicitly labeled as such, so check our Our Schedule Page to see which shows will be the most fun for your family!
See the direct descendants of the animals the Vikings would have seen and farmed, such as sheep, chickens, and even powerful horses in action!
Meet the Norse Legend Útgarða-Loki and see if you can hold his larger than life axe! Is he a friendly giant? Only one way to find out! Don’t be shy now!
Viking Fest Minnesota is a firm believer that learning should be fun and memorable. Yes, our festival is very much a place to play games, fight, and laugh, but did you know you can do all of that WHILE learning?? We are also dedicated to historical accuracy and informing our patrons (of any age!) about the Viking Age. Let out your creative side with some arts and crafts! Create a cardboard sword and shield and decorate it to your hearts content, then show it off around the festival!
Purchase a full Viking Fest Minnesota coloring book or find individual pages to color for free at the Children’s building on festival grounds! Color cute Viking characters, historical scenes, scenes from Norse mythology, or cute Viking animals!
A space for the young Vikings at the festival where you can find activities and information. Craft your sword and shield here, find coloring pages, start your Rune Quest, or find staff with helpful information! We encourage families to locate these spaces on festival grounds so you and your children will know where to find helpful and friendly staff!
